Mr. Arif Nathoo

ECLIPSE EAST

Head Coach:  Arif Nathoo

The team will be managed and coached by Mr. Arif Nathoo. Arif brings to the team an extensive amount of experience. A two time OUA Coach of the Year, Arif has been the head coach at York University for 2 years and led the York Lions to 2009 OUA Provincial Championship. Prior to that, Arif coached at Ryerson University where he led the team to their first ever OUA playoff appearance, their first ever OUA medal and led Ryerson University to its only appearance at a CIS Volleyball championship. In the summer of 2009, Arif led the 2009 Ontario Provincial team to a silver medal at the Canada Games. During the 2009-2010 season, Arif led the 14U team to impressive 5 Gold medals, 4 silver medals and 1 bronze medal as well as the OVA Ontario Provincial banner for 14U Girls Volleyball. The 15U team had an even more impressive season, capturing 7 Gold medals, 4 silver medals, 1 Bronze medal as well as both the Ontario Provincial and Canadian National West Championship banners. The U16 team captured the Provincial banner for the 3rd straight year in a row and captured a bronze medal at the Canadian Nationals held in Toronto.  Arif is a fully certified Level 3 Coach. The 16U team will train in the East End of Scarborough.

 

 

ECLIPSE WEST

Head Coach - Amanda Vigna


The U17 Eclipse West Team is going to be coached by Amanda Vigna. Amanda  brings 4 years of coaching experience at the club level. She was a Head Coach for "Spikes" the OVA Developmental program and is currently employed at Victory Volleyball Academy where she coaches volleyball camps alongside Rick McArthur. Prior to this, Amanda coached at the Etobicoke Titans Volleyball Club for 4 years and enjoyed many success such as winning gold and silver at the provincial finals for U13 and U14, and placing 3rd at the Canadian Nationals in 2010/2011 season for U15 girls. The U16 team captured a bronze medal at the Ontario Chamionships and finished 5th in the country at the National Championships in Toronto.  She is a fully certified Level 2 coach. Amanda also brings 8 years of playing experience at the club level which led her to scholarship offers in both the OUA and NCAA Division 1 schools. We look forward to her leading the team to an awesome season.
